HE Minister of Transportation and Acting Chief Executive of the Economic Development Board Engineer Kamal bin Ahmed Mohamed stressed the importance of strong communication between Ministries and the two legislative bodies – the Shura Council and Bahrain Parliament – in order to serve the Kingdom of Bahrain and ensure that the highest level of performance is achieved in carrying out the Government’s programmes.

This came during a meeting with Member of Parliament His Excellency Sameer Al Khaadem, in which their Excellencies also discussed main issues of concern as well as the Ministry’s future plans and its objectives in completing existing projects within the highest standards, including major projects in the aviation and ports and maritime sectors as well as land transportation and post. His Excellency the Minister also stressed the Ministry’s keenness in achieving the set objectives in order to serve the Bahraini community and to address all queries made by the Members of Parliament.

On his part, the MP thanked His Excellency the Minister and praised the efforts taken by the Ministry in developing the industry and the regulatory role it assumes in serving the transportation sectors. Mr Al Khaadem also emphasized the importance of the Parliament in keeping abreast of how Ministries manage large scale infrastructure projects that will have important long-term impact on the Kingdom’s development.
